Nice Day for Fishing? it is with this little gem of a game…

A collaboration between the game developer FusionPlay and the live action series creators Viva La Dirt League, this humorous pixel art RPG adventure is set in the world of Azerim with the fisherman Baelin as your unexpected hero.

In the Demo trailer I wanted to have a very over the top voice over as this is in keeping with their identity and humour so I wrote the script to feel ridiculously theatrical with hints of sarcasm. This trailer was to give the players an overview of story, direction and gameplay whilst matching the tone of the series.

We wanted to have a connection between both the game and series and so with the console announce and release date trailers VLDL recorded some extra footage for us so we could tie everything together with ease and forethought. We also decided it would be good to showcase some of the moments from the live action and parallel moments within the game, highlighting the great script writing and humour on offer, but also the varied and new experiences to be had whilst exploring Azerim and the expansive underwater world FusionPlay had created.

It was such fun working on this game, we hoped that fans of the series would be excited about the game but also that people discovering the game would then also discover the series.
